Sr. Software Architect - modelling/simulationThis position is for a Systems Architect on the Simulation and Systems Integration Lab team. Performing and leading a professional structured system design in the modelling and simulation arena, including: requirements analysis, design trade studies, product tree development, system/software architecture diagram development, data-flow diagram development, system state definition, computing system architecture, component identification, requirements allocations, etc. Will work with model development teams to perform detailed trade studies for model fidelity selection, prototype turnaround time, model modularity design, and model interface designs that support system and software architectures for rapid-prototyping simulations. Keywords: Embedded software, RTOS, ARM9 processors, C/C++, project leader, data communications, distributed networks, data encryption, data security, data compression, modelling, cockpits, simulation, gnc Requirements BSEE/CS/Comp Eng/Physics and at least 15 (will take 12 years with MSEE/CS etc) years of experience. Experience in performing system design and integration of large-scale, Real Time, man-in-the-loop, tactical simulation systems. Include cockpits, I/O systems, out-the-window visual systems, graphics/image generators, helmet mounted display systems, aural cueing systems, ownship models, weapons models, computer generated forces, etc. Designing visualization and briefing systems that include data collection and playback systems for Real Time simulations for tactical combat and theater-level simulations with overall insight into simulation modelling, and experience developing architectural designs for tactical simulation modelling environments. Developing architectural designs for tactical simulation modelling environments. Familiarity with network-centric, interoperable simulation design, including DIS protocol, HLA protocol, control of simulation federates, and system-of-systems networked designs that entail storage systems, remote boot, LAN, WAN, and Virtual network segregation. Active Secret Security Clearance and have the ability to be cleared to Top Secret. Pluses MSEE/CS/Comp Eng/Physics Military operations analysis experience in a system engineering environment. Experience with the application of digital mission simulations of military operations (EADSIM, JIMM, ESAMS, JSAF etc.) Active Top-Secret Security Clearance Job location is Dallas, TX - relo assistance available
