JCPenney seeks a Marketing Systems Project Management Director to play a key leadership role in directing strategic and operational marketing systems within the Marketing Production and Support Organization supporting the company's retail and direct marketing businesses. Managing the intersect between Marketing and Information Technology, this individual will lead long-range strategic technology plans as well as direct day-to-day activities of production workflow and operations support groups, which facilitate media execution to customers and provide primary support for visual properties and print including all preprint, direct mail, and catalogs, producing 17,000 print pages and 8 billion pieces annually.
Responsibilities:
Set strategy for marketing technology projects supporting retail and direct businesses with the primary emphasis in technical applications for Creative, Production and Production Development. Scope includes Operation and Technical Support, MAC support for 580 users, training on equipment & tools and software, provide tools for marketing programs automation, and management of web applications.
Develop department strategy, facilitate business process development, and oversee production work to meet business and budget objectives;
Key liaison with marketing and IT leadership to ensure integration of new initiatives;
Manage, coach and develop a team that includes 3 direct reports with total team of 20;
Control capital expense for creative and production software and hardware of $2 million;
Institute and manage metrics to monitor and drive efficiencies, ensure proper resource allocation and track progress on project work load;
Ensure corporate project management process and standards.
Qualifications:
High energy and proactive technology project manager with proven track record of successful large complex project management in fast paced environment with aggressive deadlines, including:
Proven track record of 5 - 10 years successful large complex project management with direct responsibility for strategy, staff, budgets, schedules, production, training, and support;
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, MBA preferred;
PMP Certification (Project Management Professional) preferred
Ability to collaborate with internal technical and business partners to achieve mutual goals;
Advanced project management, problem solving, organizational and creative thinking skills;
