Your role as an Availability Consultant is to help clients evaluate and implement strategies/solutions to enhance the availability of the clients business. Availability focus is on minimizing downtime, maximizing up-time and providing a higher level of service. Solutions are geared toward keeping systems running, rather than recovering them after an outage. This role is for those who have a deep background in a specific area (storage, network, etc.), but can also cover multiple platforms at a conversational/consulting level. While your clients will be from all industry areas, there is a special need in the financial markets.
Your responsibility is to provide clients with a high level, management oriented view of how and where changes can be made to enhance their application and infrastructure availability posture. Youll be expected to provide engagement leadership for complex engagements as well as provide consulting thought leadership across the layers of client IT Operations (i.e., strategy and Vision, organization, processes, applications and data, technology, and Facilities). Engagement responsibility will focus primarily on Application & Infrastructure Availability, but may touch other aspects of Business Continuity & Resiliency (e.g., risk management, business continuity, Recoverability and security. ? 3 to 5 years experience with large, complex business IT systems.
? Project engagement leadership background for complex engagements involving client IT Operations (i.e., strategy and Vision, organization, processes, applications and data, technology, and facilities)
? Your focus has been primarily on Application and Infrastructure availability, but should have touched other aspects of Business Continuity and Resiliency (e.g., internal recovery strategies, risk management, business continuity, recoverability and security)
? Extensive background with client Business Resilience High Availability Solution Development
