Cisco Network Engineer III in Dallas, TX

Produce standard capacity and performance management reports.

Work directly with Network Integration and Engineering on large-scale projects.

Perform functional checklists to ensure proactive problem management and highlight potential issues

Ensure written operational procedures for the GNCC are kept current and accurate

Perform defined Control checks to a defined schedule

Write problem analysis reports to agreed formats detailing Reasons for Outage and measures to prevent reoccurrence

Perform proactive audits on network devices using Opnet and other tools

Perform level3 type troubleshooting for North America and LATAM regions for chronic and/or critical problems.

Assist in root causing any and all outages

Develops, improves, implements and delivers superior Network Operations support to the infrastructure.

Escalate issues and/or outages to regional and/or global engineering








Experience: Strong working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches

Strong working knowledge of WANs (T1s, T3s, Frame Relay, ISDN etc)

Strong working knowledge of at least three of the following routing protocols: EIGRP, IGRP, BGP, OSPF, RIP.

Strong working knowledge of at least two of the following routed protocols: IP, IPX, DECNET,LAT, SNA

Strong working knowledge of al least three of the following media types: Fastethernet, FDDI, Token Ring, ATM, POSIP, and Gigabit.

Strong working knowledge of network general sniffers and probes.
