Senior Analyst SAP in Dallas, TX

Our downtown Dallas client is looking to hire a Senior Analyst with SAP experience on a direct hire basis.


Responsible for supporting various, assigned complex application systems and reporting environments while working with key users in to improve business processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide support and resolution for end users for SAP FI/CO modules, or Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Traders Schedulers Workbench (TSW) modules or Maintenance, Repairs & Operation ( MRO) and Maintenance (PLM) and Materials Maintenance (MM) modules, supporting configuration and enhancement requests from the user community.
Support integration points between SAP FI/CO and Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), & Human Resources (HR) modules, SAP PM and additional SAP modules.
May implement configuration changes, new releases and updates to the back office environment, including SAP and associated applications, in an effort to optimize the use of Information Technology within supply chain operations
May provide coordination support between all Maintenance, Repairs & Operation ( MRO) systems, or all functions of the logistics systems, and functions of IT departments to assure effective use of the systems
Support various interfaces between SAP and other systems, including DataStream plant maintenance & procurement system and/or Trafxs first purchaser system.
Analyze process and configuration issues as they occur in the SAP Production system.
Provide support role to subsequent phases of SAP implementation.
Design interfaces, reports, enhancements (including custom programs), and conversions to meet business requirements.
Design and perform quality assurance testing, perform unit testing and integration testing.
Support the development of end-user security authorizations by the end-user security authorization administration group.
Facilitate meetings, conduct and lead presentations and/or training sessions with end-users.
Communicate with colleagues, management, and business team members on requirements, problems, project status, and issues.
Deliver system solutions to business problems in a timely manner.
Understand and work within corporate IT governance practices.
Lead a team on special projects or play a lead technical role from time to time
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

EXPERIENCE:

5+ years of job related experience is required. 5 years of SAP (version 4.6c or higher) implementation/ support experience with FI/CO is required. SAP IS-OIL and Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred (Midstream/Pipeline & Downstream/Refining areas). Total of 10 years of experience required.


EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field required.

Office based with up to 25% travel within lower 48. Occasional long hours, as well as nights and weekends as needed.
