Job Responsibilities:
Perot Systems is seeking a Business Analyst, functioning in a team lead role, to support clients using the PERADIGM application. This person must have demonstrated strong abilities in supporting claims payment systems for healthcare payers. The team lead is responsible for leading and coordinating completion of projects within and when necessary across teams. The position is responsible for gathering/interpreting/documenting configuration, interface, and reporting requirements to support operation and client needs. Included are testing implemented systems changes and working directly with the client and operations team to gain approval of system changes. The team lead will work with multiple modules within the PERADIGM application including pricing, benefits, and claims. Duties include writing and running queries to extract data directly from the PERADIGM database, as well as, preparing data to load directly into the database. The business analyst is responsible for documenting policies, procedures, decisions made, and obtaining client approval of the decisions, and training/monitoring team members on the approved processes. This person researches and troubleshoots application errors and responds to general customer inquiries of the application capability. Testing and implementation of new application functionality may also be required. Other general duties include but are not limited to serving as a point of contact for application support, developing and executing Quality Assurance test plans, proposing strategic solutions to our customer and assisting them with planning for future enhancements to systems. The business analyst will be able to track requests to the team, both internally and client generated, provide written status on the requests, respond to questions regarding system configuration and interfaces with the system.
Excellent customer interface skills and the ability to effectively communicate with department leaders is required. Ability to function independently and as a team player. A self starter - must be able to multi-task and handle multiple ongoing projects and shifting priorities.
Required Skills:
5+ yrs payer system configuration and/or implementation, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
1+ yrs in a team leadership role or project leadership role
4+ yrs experience with interpreting schedules of benefits and pricing contract arrangements
4+ yrs experience with claim coding, including CPTs and ASCs
2+ yrs PL/SQL Developer experience or familiarity with a similar data extract tool
Application troubleshooting and strong analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of database table structure and data types
Advanced skills on Microsoft Word and Excel
Desired Skills:
Experience in transitioning processes and procedures
Solid business background in configuring DIAMOND or PERADIGM
Experience analyzing claims for billing trends for configuration solutions
Strong math skills
Knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-9-CM and medical terminology
PL/SQL Developer experience
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
