Exciting company in the Oil and Gas Industry is seeking a Systems Administrator for it's WAN, telecommunications systems, routers, firewall and software applications. This position reports to the Manager of Financial Services and is responsible for all aspects of managing, planning and budgeting for these systems/software and ensuring timely and efficient project management of new applications.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- System administration of Windows based personal computers, network servers, wide area network telecommunications systems, routers and firewalls.
- Interact with senior management concerning project specifications, timelines and budgets.
- Establish needs, solicit/review bids, make recommendations, and negotiate as requested.
- System maintenance, security procedures, system backups, troubleshooting problems, Anti-Virus/Spam solutions, and upgrades to hardware and software.
- Test new hardware and software solutions for compatibility with current systems and make appropriate improvements, recommendations and plans for instillations.
- Document and update inventory of computers, operation systems, software packages, WAN infrastructure and maintain and improve the internal and external websites.
- Support and maintain a small group of Apple Macs utilize by select staff.
- Assist with training of employees.
- Assist with other project as needed.

Experience: Bachelors of Computer Science
MCSE Certification
5+ significant IT experience, including firewalls (Cisco)
Network Infrastructure Knowledge LAN and WAN
Network Security
Voice over IP (SIP based)
Excellent communication skills
Sarbanes-Oxley experience
Plus: Accounting experience; oil and gas experience
