Cerner PharmNet Consulting Sr. Spec (Pharmacist) (18870) in Dallas, TX

Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a CERNER MILLENNIUM PHARMNET IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST to join our CERNER PRACTICE GROUP.

* The ideal candidate must be prepared to travel from 0% - 100% of the time, and must also be prepared to work virtually from home for varying periods of time when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
Participate in the implementation of Cerner Millennium PharmNet applications at client locations
Responsibilities and duties associated with this position include but may not be limited to: File building, documentation and management of the Pharmacy Management System implementation
Acts as the primary contact for application design issues that arise at the client site
Assists client System Operation Manager in developing routine operations cycle
Assists project team in developing, monitoring and managing technology support and operational implementation work plans
Coordinates with the appropriate members of the Project Team in policy formation and establishment of system and application security
Provides support for testing and conversion activities

Required Skills:
The minimally qualified candidate will have a complete understanding of surgery processes and previous experience supporting Pharmacy systems, Cerner PharmNet optimal
Possess knowledge of clinical departments to include ancillary service areas, previous hospital experience and knowledge of work flow processes; a clinical background in hospital Pharmacy environment, and experience implementing clinical systems
Cerner Millennium PharmNet application experience required (2 years)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to manipulate data using Excel
Project management methodology experience
Excellent oral and written skills

Desired Skills:
Experience with other Cerner Millennium applications
Prior system implementation and/or support experience

Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Clinical background or Pharmacy Technician preferred

Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
PMI certification
