Job Description:
Provide technical leadership in the areas of application architecture/design, enterprise standards/best practices, development tools and methodologies.
Drive the organization to develop and adopt improved software design and development processes, incorporating industry standards and best practices.
Develop coding standards and guidelines.
Skill Sets:
.Evaluate the current design and development toolset for the Java/J2EE technology stack.
.Identify gaps and make recommendations for tools to improve productivity, quality, and ease of maintenance Develop coding standards and guidelines.
.Recommend and implement approaches for automated code analysis and profiling.
.Analyze the existing configuration management patterns for applications written in a variety of technologies.
.Recommend and implement best practices for configuration management, build, deployment and automated testing.
.Consult on architecture direction and design issues as well as influence peers, cross-functional partners, and management.
.Act as the go to person for all aspects of software development in a variety of technologies.
.Define, apply, and drive the use of design patterns, best practices, and enterprise standards Present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
Required Qualifications:
1.10+ years of experience with analysis, design, development and implementation of large-scale Java/J2EE solutions.
2.Strong hands on development experience with the Java/J2EE technology stack.
3.Any Experience with .NET, TIBCO, or SAP XI is a huge plus.
4.Experience with development tools, modeling tools, and profiling tools for Java/J2EE. Must have solid experience and in depth knowledge of OOA&D and OO design patterns. Mentoring experience in the areas of software development process, coding best practices, and object oriented design.
5.Extensive experience with one or more software development methodologies like RUP, Agile, Extreme Programming, and Test Driven Development Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
