Our Client headquartered in Dallas has multiple technologies and platforms across their organization. They need a solid ORACLE DBA to provide systems administration, systems programming, performance tuning, and mentoring. This Candidate MUST have recent Unix, ORACLE design, development, implementation, and support experience. In this role, the candidate will be part the enterprise DBA team working with experts on multiple technologies. Provide (Level 2/3) 24 x 7 Oracle DBA support for enterprise applications in Dallas, Texas. Provide production support for multi-site replication environment. The candidate should have working knowledge of Oracle Open Server, RMAN, and RAC. Able to Install, maintain, and test all Oracle systems and related software. Isolate and solve software problems. Evaluate error conditions; take corrective action in Unix/Red Hat Linux environments. You will be working with team members to perform product upgrades, application upgrade, design / development of applications databases, and ongoing production support of ORACLE application database systems. Some of your work requirements will consist of performing tasks associated with the development, support, and tuning of ORACLE application database systems. In depth knowledge on ORACLE is requested to develop and maintain the various application databases. Experience working with ORACLE administration tools is a plus! Application / Business analysis to develop database design (logical & physical models). Will have close working relationships with application teams and users in the design, development, tuning and problem resolution of database services. Provide training and assistance to application support teams in the usage of the database system and related software products. Experience: Technical Skills: - 7+ years Information Technology experience - 5+ years knowledge of ORACLE on a Unix platform - 5+ years analysis, design, and development experience on a ORACLE environment Required Skills: - ORACLE Administrative tools, utilities, recovery products and performance products; - knowledgeable of Oracle functions and features such as RMAN and RAC- efficient coding and tuning of SQL and stored procedures; - effective customer communications; - ORACLE structure modifications and impact analysis; Desired - Installation experience with ORACLE - Skilled in ORACLE performance techniques - Unix/ Red Hat Linux operating system- Programming experience with Unix, a Plus! - Ability to read and interpret Logical and Physical data modeling - Ability to thoroughly document processes - ORACLE Database backup/recovery.Educational Skills- BS or BA, REQUIRED. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or relevant analytical field.
