We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Dallas/ Fort Worth, TXJob ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Network Planning Engineer is responsible for supporting IT verticals and business units in troubleshooting and assisting them on resolving problems with how applications are performing on network.Establish processes to test applications and devices before planned network deployment to quantify their performance and recommend steps to ensure they are optimized.Administer and manage caching and content engines (video media) and set direction for their use in the network.Educate and establish repeatable processes with our vendors for diagnosing network and application performance to minimize escalations.Create and publish an executive level report on application and network performance. Set direction and evangelize the use of network probes, robots, and application certification (e.g. CompuWare) throughout the company.Translate business needs into actionable vendor deliverables, managing small internal data network projects.
Experience: Required SkillsShould have Six plus years of enterprise data network/IT industry experience with a minimum of four working with data network technologies and monitoring tools at an enterprise scale.Should have strong understanding of routing and switching, NAT, load-balancing, and VPN methodologies.Should have strong technical consulting/customer service background, as well as excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.Should have strong technical consulting/customer service background, as well as excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.Proven ability to manage multiple vendors and projects in a fast paced and highly outsourced IT environment.Extensive experience with technical network and application projects and implementations at scale.Strong network technical knowledge and experience with local area and wide area networks with an ability to quickly learn network/application terms.The candidate also need to have blade server experience at the enclosure level. VMware Server and Workstation software plus ESX.Preferred Skills:Some Airline/travel experience.Understanding of SILK methodology.Some programming experienceCertificationsCCNA (Desired)CCNP(Desired)
