Backup/Recovery Operations Manager in Dallas, TX

May perform one or more of the following: The IT Manager will be responsible for managing a mixed team of domestic and international backup and recovery engineers, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Enterprise Backup. This person will be responsible for defining, improving and delivering quality services to our internal and external customers. Situation management skills, as well as customer interfacing skills are crucial. Must Have: * 3-5 years management experience overseeing technology focused teams * Excellent customer service skills * 5+ years experience with relevant technologies and with implementing, admin * 5+ years experience in a customer service related role * Effective project and resource planning/management on projects * Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiations * Effective project and resource planning/management on projects * Understanding of ITIL, ITSM, COBIT, ITPI or other IT process framework * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent Responsibilities: * Manage a team of backup & recovery engineers. * Manage the relationship with Company's End-User services & Platform teams to leverage global services and best practices, adhere to corporate standards * Develop and maintain the team's operational processes and procedures, meeting the company's objectives * Manage procurement for the team and for end-user's IT needs within Company's procurement processes * Responsible for the managing, forecasting and tracking of budget * Provide guidance, coaching and leadership for best practices within the Team * Develop and maintain a roadmap for the team, manage resource planning and allocation for the team. * Manage the maintenance schedule and communications to the customer * Support and enforce the company's processes and controls within the team (Incident & Problem Management, Change Management, PCI & SOX) * Evaluate, plan and approve changes to the infrastructure resulting from projects or operational changes All other duties as assigned.
