Softmed Programmer/Analyst in Dallas, TX

SoftMed Programmer/AnalystFive years experience in implementing and supporting clinical software applications such as and/or SoftMed medical records applications. Provides rotating on call support for assigned applications. Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred. Responsible for consulting with user departments to enhance existing business applications and to facilitate solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring that all related applications are consistent with overall organizational strategies. Acts as a consultant to user departments to enhance existing business applications and to facilitate solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring that all related applications are consistent with overall organizational strategies. May act as project leader to develop, program, implement, and maintain an operating system. Responsible for project quality. Closely monitors the performance of specific computer/communications network components to ensure system availability and to verify smooth system operations. Monitors and maintains specified systems before users have problems. Defines and implements backup and recovery procedures. conducts performance tests as necessary. Identifies system problems, documents, resolves, and communicates solutions to users. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct problems and maintains effective data handling, conversion and storage. Provides proactive solutions for issues.
