Software Development Manager in Dallas, TX

May perform one or more of the following:

In this key management role you must have the ability to be a hands-on technical manager and have the ability to lead a software development team of at least 5-10 software developers.The team is responsible for delivering and supporting ACS’s Service Management platform.This includes working with business analysts, developers, and customers to design, metrics and reports.The ideal candidate will have 6+ years development experience executing against all phases of the SW development lifecycle.Ideally it will include experience in a CMMI level 3+ organizations.Position level is dependent on candidate’s level of experience.


Primary Experience:

3+ years experience as a team lead or manager
5+ years development experience
Good understanding of ITIL Service Management processes
Demonstrated analytical thinking, adaptability, enthusiasm and motivation.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Strong project, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
1+ years Business Analysis experience
2+ years report or data warehouse development
2+ years data analysis/data modeling experience


Secondary Experience:

1+ years Business Objects or other warehouse technology
2+ years experience with SQL, stored procedures, and triggers
1+ years ETL experience
1+ years Java development experience
Test plan development
Experience with COTS package implementations, 4GL languages and IDE
Change Control, version control, build, and configuration management
Oracle OWB experience


Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or related discipline.
