Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Lead Information Assurance Engineer. These positions will be based in Las Vegas, NV. This position will require 50% domestic travel. Job DescriptionLead Information Assurance (IA) Team to implement IA products for customer Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems. Install security products onto customer servers. Test functionality of LMR system after installing controls. Provide feedback to product engineering to make corrections to IA products. Work with accrediting agencies to perform lockdown procedures, verify configurations, interpret findings and report findings back to product engineering. Coordinate and facilitate activities with support teams and vendors to implement system changes and maintenance. Work to resolve issues introduced during implementation process.BEST INDUSTRY – CommunicationsBEST DEPARTMENT – Information Technology
Experience: Bachelors Degree is preferred, but not required.10+ years of experience is required.Understand security controls for UNIX and Windows operating systems is required.Computer security concepts: CIA, defense-in-depth, PKI, VPN, etc.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and networking principles is required.Strong knowledge in security and security auditing tools is required.Lead other IA team members and be able to operate without significant direction will be key in this position.Preferred Additional SkillsUnderstand Land Mobile Radio systems to perform functionality testingProfessional certifications (e.g. CISSP or CompTIA Security+ ) are a plusKnowledge of VoIP systemsCompensationNegotiable
