Client: Growing software division of Fortune 50 financial services firm. Software Division specializes in software that increased the efficiency and accuracy of trading tracking, and managing syndicated bank loans, high yield bonds, and equities.

Job Background
. Senior VB/VB.net developer to assist with the on-going enhancement of a Visual Basic 6.0 n-tier applications. Position will be responsible for one of their premier products, a robust system of five applications which allow companies to accurately trade, track and manage investments. The system provides real-time data in over 150 standard reports.
. It is anticipated that this position will evolve into a leadership role within the company based on experience and ability. .NET development opportunities exist within the company, as the application will soon be moving towards a .net framework

Job Responsibilities
. Typical Daily Activities include: Business Analysis, Technical Design, Development, Unit Testing and Project Management
. Responsible for: System modification and upgrades; Architecting customization based on customer requests, and Assisting transition to vb.net framework.

Required Skills
. 5 + years Visual Basic 6.0 and/or VB.NET. Looking for experience with large, mature applications.
. 5+ years Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL
. OOP (formal training as well as experience)
. This position REQUIRES investment community experience: a medium to in-depth knowledge and experience of financial investments applications, portfolio management applications, investment trading applications, etc.

Desired Skills
. Architecture, project lead, project management experience desire, are ability to move into this capacity
. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) classes or certification desired
. Experience with Bond Math, NPV or other yield determining functions

Educational Requirements:
BA or BS minimum with a preference for: B.S. in Engineering Field
