Avaya S8700 Engineer in Dallas, TX
Candidate is responsible for performing engineering and advanced support of the Capgemini Energy call center environment. Requires in-depth knowledge of Avaya TDM/IP voice switch and related peripherals. Requires advanced knowledge of call center operations and application of an Avaya S8700 switch in a call center environment. The candidate will be required to provide high quality and responsive support to two Avaya S8700 platforms which provide call routing and delivery to both domestic and international centers. These centers have a total client base of approximately 2000 agents. The job includes support and resolution of all voice/telephony problems, working with clients on telephony/voice related moves, adds, changes, coordinating scheduled outages when required, vectoring and VDN changes, and proactively implementing and supporting preventative maintenance procedures. Candidate must be available to provide after hours support for this environment and actively participate in an On Call rotation. This candidate will be responsible for coordinating work and troubleshooting activities as necessary to meet committed service levels. Candidate will be required to implement project deployments and demonstrate multi-tasking abilities while adhering to defined procedures and processes. This candidate will be responsible for interacting with peers, leads, management and key clients, communicating with clients and cross functionally within IT, working directly with Call Center personnel and the Resource Operations Center. Candidate will primarily interact with functional call center leaders, peers and management. Candidate will be responsible for regularly resolving simple to very complex problems while exercising sound business and technical judgment. Knowledge required includes 2-4 years of Avaya experience (Avaya Certification required), with minimum of 1-2 years of experience on Avaya S8700. Candidate may demonstrate 3-5 years of Avaya S8700 experience and 2 years call center experience on Avaya S8700 and be considered (with formal Avaya training). Candidate must have advanced voice provisioning and vectoring/VDN experience on Avaya S8700 systems. Candidate should have 2+ years experience working in an external Call Center environment, CMS experience, knowledge of NICE systems, and fundamental knowledge of CTI/IVR and Genesys applications. Candidate should have experience engineering, implementing, and performing advanced troubleshooting on the Avaya S8700 platform. Candidate should be proficient with MS desktop tools such as Word and Excel. Candidate should demonstrate ability to interact well with functional leaders, peers, and management.
