SQL Developer in Dallas, TX

Responsibilities include Microsoft SQL Server administration including installation, configuration, and performance and tuning, and maintenance. This person will maintain proper use of storage and monitor storage capacity of the database servers; monitor, identify and resolve day-to-day database operations; and perform relational database maintenance, consisting of creating new and revising existing user databases, create/update the database models, maintain and review index schemes. This person will perform SQL optimization strategies and work closely with developers, versed in documentation on DBA related tasks and procedures, and develop and execute stored procedures for database production change control.

Experience: The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience developing and administrating SQL Server 2000; SQL 2005 is desirable as well strong working knowledge in development and maintenance of Stored Procedures and Replication is also required. Candidates must possess knowledge of systemand object level privileges, roles and an understanding of Active Directorys role within SQL Server. Candidates must understand all of the backup and recovery options. Administration and Development are split 50/50. Knowledge of the following is required: SQL Server 2000 and 2005, Stored Procedures, XML handling within Stored Procedures, Clustered and Linked Servers, Database Maintenance and Tuning, Mixed Mode Authentication, Solid Knowledge of DTS and BCP, and Data Modeling knowledge.
