80% of this company's applications are currently written in VC++, and 20% are writtin in C# or VB.NET. The VC++ apps are being re-written in C# and VB.NET.
We have 14 positions open between Dallas, TX and Houston, TX! Dallas, TX - based employees can expect heavier travel than the Houston, TX - based employees.
Consultants have a strong desire for continuous learning and growth of technical and business skills. Since the majority of the work is done on client site, the role involves extensive user interaction and requires excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Some of the specific roles and responsibilities one could expect are as follows:
Working on site with clients on a daily basis
Participating in the design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of a software solution
Working closely with our development center to integrate release software into client environments
Providing guidance, mentoring, and support for less experienced consultants
Potentially managing small project teams on established activities or as a sub part of larger projects
Experience: US Citizen or US Permanent Resident
Open to travel (travel comes in chunks where you will travel each week for 3 months, then perhaps not at all for a year)
Solid job stability (2-3 years minimum in each job)
Bachelors degree
Excellent image and presentation skills
3+ years C#, VB.NET and/or Visual C++ development
SQL complex querying
Long-term goals of project management and system building
