IT Applications Developer
Home Office - Plano, Texas

Provide expertise in the designing, developing, and implementing of applications.

Responsibilities:

Design, code, test, implement and document new applications

Monitor and maintain current system applications in both the mainframe and web environments

Interface with business user community and application developers to understand project requirements and meet user needs/expectations

Perform research on systems and provide solutions for requested system enhancements.

Provide accurate estimates for project tasks.

Develop and accurately update Technical Design Documents.

Qualifications:

Production maintenance (after hours on-call) experience.

A minimum of 2 years experience working with the following:

relational database technologies such as DB2 or SQL Server

DB2 utilities

structured query language (SQL)

Visual Basic 6.0

Classic ASP

HTML

Java script

VB script

Mainframe batch processing.

Mainframe COBOL programming experience.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent analytical, coding, and testing skills.

Ability to quickly and accurately perform troubleshooting and repair of applications.

Interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to handle multiple assignments.
