IT - SCADA Technician in Dallas, TX

Our clients range from small companies to large corporations throughout Dallas-Fort Worth and North America.

An international company is looking for a IT / SCADA Technician with a minimum of three years IT operations experience and two years utility / SCADA experience.

The primary position requirements are not limited to the following:
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and planning skills as well as excellent communication skills including face-to-face, written, and telephone skills. A positive attitude and the capacity to maintain a professional presentation at all times is necessary. This position requires a commitment to excellent user service as well as follow-through. The ability to work flexible hours as needed and the ability to follow direction, work with the team, and work independently are a must. Good organizational skills and the aptitude to handle projects and prioritize tasks as they present themselves is essential.

The principal responsibilities included but not limited to are:
This position is responsible to establish and maintain data connections between Operations Center and remote wind farms as well as ensure SCADA data and remote system control are available in a 24-hour 7 day a week environment. You will assist the engineering staff in reviewing and implementing SCADA systems for new development projects. Daily support of IT needs for Operations Center is also necessary.

The skills necessary for this position are as follows:
You will need a thorough understanding of SCADA systems and related protocols (DNP3, MODBUS, etc). Experience with HMI or industrial control systems as well as experience with IT and data communications in an industrial or electric utility environment are a must. The ability to troubleshoot remote systems is required. Also, IT generalist skills for supporting users in an office environment (Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc) are necessary.
