C / UNIX / X-Motif Developer with Java in Dallas, TX

NOTE: This position requires someone that is extremely strong in both C and Java, willing to do mostly C and understand that Java development will be minimal initially but will increase as the applications move to the new technology in the future.


- These positions will focus on new development and Request for Services (RFS) and Baseline maintenance of a Suite of Applications and products.

- These individuals are expected to perform full lifecycle systems development on medium to large sized development efforts.

- Duties will also include day to day support for corrective and preventative tasks to improve reliability and stability of this critical application suite.

- Additionally, participation in an on-call pager rotation is a requirement of the position.

CONSULTING
Web Technologies to include the .NET Framework (including C# and Java), Client/Server (Visual Basic, Object Oriented DBMS and tools), Infrastructure architecture and support (including Windows 2000, Active Directory, Exchange 2003 and Windows XP) and Mainframe (Relational DBMS to include DB2 and other development tools).

Experience: Technical Skills:

* A minimum of 7 years IT experience on multiple platforms/technologies.

* 3 Years Minimum C (C Service Development and / or X-Motif / C Client Development).

* 3 Years Minimum Unix (HP, Linux, SUN).

* 3 Years Minimum Java (Java Service Development or Java Swing Client Development; Servlet/Applet Development).

* 3 Years Minimum Relational Database - Sybase 12.5, SQL / Oracle 9i-rac or above.

* 3 Years experience with Version Control tools and processes.


Non-Technical Skills:

* Disciplined Developer with strong aptitude to obtain and cultivate new skills.

* Strong problem solving and trouble shooting abilities and demonstrated success using skills.

* Demonstrated ability to work within an established timeframe to complete tasks.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated success using skills.
