Contract for hire VB.NET / ASP.NET opening in Dallas, TX

Responsibilities:


Design, code, test, implement and document new applications.

Monitor, maintain and document current system applications.

Must be available for occasional off-hours support.

Interface with business user community and application developers to understand project requirements and meet user needs/expectations.

Perform research on systems to provide solutions for requested system enhancements.

Communicate project status to management.

Must be punctual and reliable. Office hours are 9-5.

CONSULTING
Web Technologies to include the .NET Framework (including C# and Java), Client/Server (Visual Basic, Object Oriented DBMS and tools), Infrastructure architecture and support (including Windows 2000, Active Directory, Exchange 2003 and Windows XP) and Mainframe (Relational DBMS to include DB2 and other development tools).

  • Experience: Qualifications:


    Proficient in (3+ years) .NET technologies (ASP.NET and VB.NET).

    Proficient in Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Interdev, VB Script, Java Script, Classic ASP, HTML, XML, SQL, SQL Server 2000 (SQL 2005 experience a plus), Windows 2000/2003/XP, Microsoft Visio.

    Excellent analytical, coding, and testing skills.

    Ability to quickly and accurately perform troubleshooting and repair of applications.

    Interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Ability to handle multiple assignments.
