IT Director - HR Systems

Responsibilities:

The IT Director for HR Systems is responsible for oversight of design, development, implementation and maintenance of all HR Systems supporting the 155,000 employee distributed work force. These systems provide functionality for performance management, payroll, compensation, time & attendance, workforce scheduling, budgeting, and recruiting.

Reporting to the SVP Operations Management, this leader builds and directs a 50+ person team in application development, systems administration and data warehousing as well as offshore resources. Provides direction and leadership in key relationships with executives within human resources, HRIS, payroll, operations, and other units. Responsible for key technology strategies, staffing and project assignments, expense and capital budgets, and oversight of the organization. Key project deliverables include eRecruit, Position Management, Workforce Management for both retail and non-sell workforce, and various upgrade projects.

Qualifications:

Proactive technology leader with fifteen years progressive applications development leadership experience including a minimum of five years directing HR systems in Fortune 500 environment.
Additional requirements:

  • Proven track record of leading and delivering major HR development projects on time and within budget and scope.

  • Strong experience leading PeopleSoft HCM and/or Oracle ERP implementations

  • Significant capabilities and expert knowledge of HR business processes, applications development , IT methodology, and procedures

  • Advanced abilities in abstract and analytical thinking, problem solving, project management, team building, communicating and influencing as well as business orientation, vendor management, and financial skills

  • Track record of building and leading teams of managers, developers and analysts with experience directing offshore resources

  • BS/BA or MBA/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other area, or equivalent professional experience
