.Provide leadership in developing and implementing best practices for QA processes and methodologies.
.Coordinate quality assurance activities to meet business and customer needs

.Assist Quality Analysts and user acceptance groups with QA training, test plans, results documentation, and evaluation
.Communication link between developers and user acceptance group; communicate need for additional data, program specifications, or project information
.Perform various types of testing, including: integration, system, and regression testing
.Perform tests for functionality and user interface, on newly developed and/or enhanced software
.Document software defects
.Mentor Quality Analysts
.Answer technical/functional questions from other departments
.Maintain and evaluate testing metrics for testing effort and process improvement
.Maintain life cycle tracking during project phases; Maintain repositories for test plans, defect tracking, metrics, test procedures and cases, etc.
.Verify maintenance of test environment with current software under test; Configure hardware for specific testing scenarios.
.Update Project Lead on test status, project timeline efficiencies and inefficiencies, resource requirements
.Write test procedures, test plans, test scripts, estimate costs and anticipate timelines
.Conduct quality control activities as relates to software deployment.
Experience: College degree (4-year business or science-oriented) is required
.7+ years in Software Testing
.7+ years in Information Technology
.Training in one or more of the following is required: CMMI, COBIT, ITIL or IS017799
.The following certifications are a plus: QAI Certified Software Test Engineer, ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer, QAI Certified Quality Analyst, SQA Internal Certified Tester Program, SQA Certified Tester Program, ICCP Certified Computing Professional with special exams in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
.Able to assess business needs from a Quality Assurance perspective and provide best practice solutions.
.Excellent communication skills for interaction with technical and non-technical levels
.Able to direct work of other Quality Analysts and manage contract resources
.Able to use testing methodologies and testing tools effectively
.Able to work on multiple projects
.Knowledge of a variety of testing techniques
.Able to develop plans and document deliverable specifications
.Able to develop and implement metrics for validation and verification processes
.Able to work across multiple platforms
.Detail oriented
.Able to remain focused with limited direction
