Basic Function:
Develop and support complex Financial and Inventory applications, including gathering/analyzing business requirements, designing systems solutions to business problems, coding and testing the solutions. Provide technical leadership and coaching for the entire team, as well as other IT teams within the company.

Principal Responsibilities:
1. Develop and support Financial and Inventory server applications.
2. Provide technical leadership in the most complex technical projects and develop short and long term solutions, ensuring project schedules are met as well as project budgets.
3. Provide leadership to ensure the most advantageous technical and/or business solutions are selected and implemented to best achieve the business goals.
4. Provide technical leadership to other JCP junior and senior team members.
5. Interface with the business community and IT management. Good aptitude for understanding the business user community and their IT needs.
6. Excellent problem solving skills in order to perform research on complex systems problems and provide solutions for requested system enhancements.
7. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
8. Ability to work effectively in a strong customer service / team-oriented environment.


Knowledge and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field desired.
2. 10-15 years experience in application systems planning, design, and programming required.
3. Proven experience in all phases of software development lifecycle and project management within a variety of technologies and applications. Experienced Team Lead.
4. Ability to quickly come up to speed on the existing Financial and Inventory server applications through Knowledge Transfer sessions with current SME's and self-directed information gathering skills.
5. Excellent problem solving, analytical, coding and testing skills.
6. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks concurrently or as part of a team.
7. Interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies.
8. Knowledge and experience in Multi-tier Design and Development
9. Proven experience in .Net technologies, including c#, VB.net, web services, windows services, and web application design and development.
10. Proven Experience in ASP and VB 6.0 design and development.
11. Proven experience in SQL Server - administration, stored procedures, DTS package design and development, and performance tuning.
12. Proven experience with IIS 6.0 configuration settings and performance tuning.
13. Knowledge and experience with XML and Message Queuing.
14. Experience with IBM DB2 UDB(LUW) on AIX with Kornshell scripting desirable.
15. Experience with Oracle databases a benefit.
16. Experience SharePoint and SharePoint Portal a benefit.
17. Retail and Financial Systems background a benefit.

Microsoft Certifications a plus
