Reporting Analyst in Dallas, TX

Corporate headquarters campus in Irving, Texas needs you to:

* Modify existing reports and/or develop complex stored procedures and reports using T-SQL, PowerBuilder and migrating to Microsoft Reporting Services.

* Coordinate with the users, Business Analysts and other I.S. team members to support the reporting requirements of the business.

* Prepare time and cost estimates for completing enhancement.

* Prepare detailed design specifications using Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming, Design Patterns, and the Unified Modeling Language (UML).

* Develop complex stored procedures using T-SQL.

* Work with business analyst to analyze current operational procedures and identify problems and recommend technical solution.

* Thoroughly test code modifications using testing tools.

* Review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

* Study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as required.

* Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by personnel in system.

* Conduct studies pertaining to development of new information systems.

* Plan and prepares technical reports and instructional manuals as documentation of program development.

* Analyze vendor specific system upgrades, and modify custom applications/code to support system upgrade.

* Direct and coordinates work of others to develop, test, install and modify programs.

* Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by management

Experience: To perform this job successfully, you should be able to: Design, develop, test, document, and implement software enhancements per user specifications and in accordance with company policy and procedures. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
