Genesis10 has a full-time opportunity with our client located in Plano Texas for a Senior Network Engineer/Team Lead.
The Network Engineer position will be responsible for the architecture design, strategy development and support of all network equipment and inter-office data communications. This position will participate in an on call rotation with another Network Engineer and will be responsible for internal and external customer support via the Helpdesk and ticketing system, Desktop Support and the Data Center. Will be responsible for maintaining some external relationships with clients and internal technology team members. Solid experience in consulting principles and ability to manage client needs and expectations is expected.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- Senior level management engagement and communication is required.
- Must have the ability to mentor and coach Network Engineers.
- Strong networking experience layers 1-4.
- Implementing and troubleshooting VPN site to site connectivity.
- EIGRP experience is a must.
- Detailed knowledge of PIX/ASA Firewalls.
- Cisco 65xx experience, HSRP, route redundancy, Etherchannel.
- 5 years direct network experience.
- Practical experience utilizing BGP maintaining in a complex environment.
- Experience with Content Switch and VPN connector.
- PCI compliance is critical experience for this position.
- BGP, Load balancing using Cisco CSS, QOS, NAC, Intrusion detection systems.
- Wireless LAN controller.
- Two-factor VPN and PCI DSS understanding.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- CCNA certification is preferred.
