Seeking experienced systems management candidates who have installed, configured and administered various monitoring, notification & event management applications preferably NetIQ and Microsoft MOM or Indicative. All other management systems experience will be considered. Seeking candidates that have worked with presenting monitoring events and reports to operations and engineering groups responsible for monitoring and configuring systems.

A highly skilled seasoned technician, the Systems Technician applies a broad and in-depth working knowledge of monitoring tools on SUN Solaris, Linux, & Windows related operating systems. The incumbent generally is a member of quick-response customer support team and works on most complex work orders with extremely critical deadlines, and operates independently to troubleshoot hardware & software configuration problems on Enterprise Management & monitoring systems, and to set up, install, configure, maintain, relocate, and/or repair a variety of server types, software and/or peripherals. May perform task guidance to less experienced staff and play a key role in project planning and execution of Enterprise Management & monitoring systems.

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Troubleshoots hardware, software and/or related operating system problems.

Takes appropriate corrective action, interfacing with vendor, Sr. engineers, client and ACS’ staff as necessary.

Sets up, assembles, installs, configures, reconfigures, modifies, moves and/or relocates hardware/software at ACS or client site for Enterprise Management & monitoring systems. Ensures upgrades are configured and installed on schedule.

Maintains system and environment documentation, technical schematics, and dependency or system diagrams.

May assist in providing user/client training, platform migrations, and solution architecture.

May provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.












Education and Typical Years of Experience:






Education and Typical Years of Experience: Vocational, trade school, or military technical training or an associate degree in electrical, electronics technology, or equivalent work experience. Associate degree in Computer Science preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years progressively responsible experience, demonstrating in-depth working familiarity with SUN Solaris, Linux, & Windows related operating systems












Specific Requirements:






Systems Monitoring experience with NetIQ, Microsoft MOM skills and Indicative. Experience with TEC will be an added advantage.
