Sr. Executive Desktop Support Technician in Dallas, TX

Deliverables / Job Duties:

Executive Desktop Support Engineer to provide primary support to a high level executive and his administrative staff.

Normal business hours 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, CST Monday - Friday, and extending to on-call after hours support.
Additionally, the Executive Desktop Support Engineer is responsible to provide quarterly updates to the desktop standard including, recommendations, testing, documentation, and image updates.
Review, advise and design standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs on the enterprise business process and goals.

Act as a contributing member of the Executive desktop team, responding to support requests.

Provide weekly status reports on support and projects related to support for the Chairman of the Board.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Ten years of general experience in IS / IT.

Professional will interface with senior staff and must possess excellent communication skills.

Must have areas of knowledge around components such as patch management, virus protection, data encryption, VPN access and blackberry support.

Secure operating system implementation.

Knowledge of Active Directory and GPOs.

Experience with process methodology such as ITIL

Experience with network and system security needs and techniques

Preferred knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, VISTA, Adobe Acrobat, McAfee
Antivirus, Office 2003 & 2007 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


Strong ability in troubleshooting software, PC, Blackberry devices, and networked copier and printer problems.


Should have experience with wireless routers, DSL/Cable modem routers, remote access and other home based technology.


Experience with training users on how to use software.


Excellent teamwork skills with a strong sense of responsibility, accountability, reliability, and commitment.


Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Individual must be mature and responsible to work independently.

Ideal candidate will have 7-10 years directly supporting senior managers and their staff.
