DESCRIPTION

Individual should be comfortable with communicating and understanding the HACMP and SAN/NAS Team work environment.

Examples of the equipment type(s)/method(s) or processes are:


∙ Supporting HACMP software running on AIX operating system.

∙ Supporting DASD which includes SSA disks and SCSI RAID in a single node and shared between multiple nodes environment.

∙ Should be familiar with configuring the above DASD in RAID and non RAID configuration, configuration of volume group, logical volume and file system in a shared and non-shared environment.

∙ Individual will be configuring/troubleshooting all aspects of the HACMP software.

∙ Individual will also be configuring/troubleshooting the above DASD and analyzing DASD error reports.

∙ Individual needs TCP/IP networking skill to understand HACMP network requirements.

∙ Individual should be able to install/configure/trouble shoot all the above SAN products.

∙ Should be familiar with configuring the above SAN into AIX and windows operating system.

∙ Will be configuring/troubleshooting all aspects of the above switches and hubs as related to the above attached SAN devices.

∙ Will be responsible for analyzing errors for all the above devices.

∙ Will need soft/hard zoning skills to configure the above switches/hubs.

∙ Will need to understand how all the above devices are configured into a HACMP cluster environment.

∙ Individual should have the HACMP & SAN/NAS technical field background and/or experience which can provide hardware/software problem solving skills, and should be capable of discussing
technical situations and scenarios with the end-user, and customers.


Nice to have

Shell scripting/programming in an AIX/UNIX environment is a plus.

Knowledgeable of EMC powerpaths, IBM 2105 shark and other network attached disks are a plus.
