National healthcare organization is looking for an experienced Java developer to join their team on a full time basis. The Java developer should have a strong object-oriented development background with Java SE/EE, XML, and HQL/SQL with a focus on distributed application development and solid GUI design principles. Responsibilities include development of enterprise applications to support operations, finance and human resource divisions and will also assist in building and maintaining dynamic portions of our corporate web sites and Intranet.
Other job duties include collecting and evaluating business requirements, developing software using Seam and RichFaces for distributed applications based upon requirements from business process owners, implement GUIs from design layouts and support existing web-based and distributed Java applications. Experience: Education Required:
• 4-year degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• In depth knowledge of Seam, RichFaces, Hibernate and JBoss
• J2EE 1.4 experience with EJB3 and distributed Architecture Development
• Experience using Eclipse, Subversion, Ant
• Web tier experience with HTML, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Database experience with Postgresql or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of J2SE 5.0, OO A/D, application security
• Good working knowledge of software testing, building high quality software, and experience with software testing tools, regression testing, performance testing
Ideal Skills Set Will Include:
• 2 years or more programming experience with a focus on distributed application development;
• 3 yrs of hands on Java programming experience
• Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform
