Sr. Technical Enterprise Architect in Dallas, TX
Our Dallas client is looking for a Sr. Technical Enterprise Architect that would report to the Sr. Director of IT within this large organization. The ideal candidate must fully comprehend the overall desired outcome of the client's Global IT Strategy. This person should have a strong understanding of how to support the client's custom Web applications along with all the internal applications (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, etc.) and be able to give local and global direction on establishing and following company standards. Additionally, the client needs someone that should be familiar with abstracting components and designing conceptual through physical architectures. The ideal candidate would be someone that has previously been responsible for a large organization's Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture, Data Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Quality Assurance, Performance Management, or Change Management discipline. Also a conceptual understanding of HSM, DLM or ILM processes and tools, and an ability to communicate the business benefit of these disciplines and technologies to a technical audience. Any foreign languages are a huge plus! Additional requirements needed are: Extensive experience with Microsoft Back Office and .NET products, J2EE, XML, Active Directory, Object Oriented Architecture and Design (OOA/OOD), Relational Databases, programming and Scripting languages, Networks, Information Security, Storage Area Networks, Windows and Unix Operating Systems and Services. Leadership skills to drive change, direct others, and influence the organization outside direct line of authority. Demonstrated ability to lead large projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously and extensive experience with technology vendor interaction and selection . Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to deal with ambiguity, and formulate solutions and courses of action from small pieces of information Demonstrated competence in - verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to negotiate, influence and mediate presentation skills including the delivery of technical information to a business audience relationship building, team building, and leadership skills personal organization, time management, planning, and project coordination skills Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; emphasis on Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Certification(s) Desired: IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification preferred. Travel: Occasional travel to International locations (not to exceed 4 weeks per year).
