Wintel Systems Administrator in Dallas, TX

This position is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Windows Network Engineer to assist in the support of Servers in a large, complex and high-availability Wintel systems environment. You will be responsible for ensuring basic server health and will work with the Application Development Group on break/fix situations. Specifically, responsibilities will include leading problem diagnostic efforts on assigned servers, documenting performance characteristics, solving server problems, and performing production migrations. You will also maintain current levels of products and tools or document exceptions. Monitoring hardware and software logs and maintaining overall server health is part of this position. 5 years of experience as a Windows Systems Engineer in large corporate environments is required. Advanced knowledge of Windows 2008/2003 Server, IIS, OS Performance Monitoring, and OS Debugging Tools is required. Experience with Dell and HP Hardware is preferred. You must be able to personally resolve simple to complex server hardware and OS related issues. Strong experience with High Availability architected solutions is preferred.
