Unix Systems Administrator in Dallas, TX

This is a great opportunity for a UNIX Administrator to work in a large data center with diverse technologies. The environment consists primarily of Sun Solaris as well as AIX, IBM blade Servers and pSeries Servers running HP-UX. Primary responsibilities will be to interface with the client and technical team to do break/fix analysis, coding and problem resolution. Regular tasks may include: Data Handling, Application validation, Application troubleshooting, Systems troubleshooting, Documentation, Network troubleshooting, Shell Scripting and Database queries. Position requires 3-5 years of UNIX administration skills, with strong Sun Solaris experience. Strong knowledge of commands, experience with Shell programming and Scripting and the ability to monitor and analyze issues with memory/CPU is needed. An understanding of AIX server architecture would be a plus but must have sufficient communication skills to interact with AIX SE at a minimum. Position also requires Windows administration skills, SSH, Telnet FTP, and TCP/IP. Application experience on Oracle, Siebel, Java, and TIBCO is also needed.
