HDS Storage - Business Continuity Consultants - HDS Storage BC in Dallas, TX

Looking for seasoned HDS Storage Engineer/Admin consultants to fill various roles in the coming months. 12 mo renewable contracts and "by the project" contracts - 2 weeks to 6 months + Expense paid (reimbursed)Note: Several of my consultants are going on 2nd, 3rd, & 4th years.See Levels II, III, IV job descriptions below:Level II Consultant – Implementation ConsultantResponsible for delivery of storage services according to a statement of work. This responsibility typically spans all layers of IT infrastructure including hardware, software, networking, and applications. HDS Technical Consultants (BC) deploy local and remote replication, with scripting, testing, documentation, and customer training.Breakdown of role by time spent on each activity:• Delivery of services (80%)• Sharing knowledge and experience with other consultants (15%)• Developing new services (5%)Travel associated with this role ranges 60 - 100%.Required Skills and Experience:• Excellent customer and employee relationships - must be able to interact successfully with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels in the organization• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to write project status reports, management escalation documentation, and service planning and definition information• Strong technical background in the areas of data storage and replication• Enterprise storage management• Solid operating systems skills with storage configuration (volume management)• Able to read, modify and implement scripts (Shell, VBScript, Perl, etc)• Knowledge of local storage replication products (HDS-ShadowImage and Copy-on-Write using the GUI and CCI a must; EMC-TimeFinder, HP-Business Continuity, IBM-FlashCopy a plus)• Knowledge of remote storage replication products (HDS-Universal Replicator and TrueCopy using the GUI and CCI a must; EMC-SRDF, HP-Continuous Access, IBM-PPRC a plus)• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent education or experience• 3 years experience working and supporting large enterprises in the areas of storage and storage management• Following additional skills a plus:- Oracle or SQL Database Administration.- Exchange or Notes administration- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and VisioLevel III Consultant – Integration Consultant The Technical Consultant will be responsible for leading customers through the deployment of HDS storage replication technologies including implementation, deployment, customization, and training.All level 2 skills and experience are required, plus: • Proven ability to provide oversight and leadership to project teams in service delivery• Demonstrated ability to guide a complex project from inception through delivery and completion• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including Fibre Channel and TCP/IP• Able to create complex functionality using scripts (Shell, VBScript, Perl, etc)• Knowledge of advanced storage replication (VSS/VDI integration, VMWare Site Recovery Manager, stretch/geo clustering, advanced application integration)• Strong group presentation skills and experience providing training to customers.• Self motivated - proven track record of working well independently at customer sites • 5+ years in information technology• 3+ years experience in a technical services organization at a vendor• 2+ years current experience with the HDS technologies identified in Level IILevel IV Consultant – Architect Consultant The Technical Consultant will be responsible for leading customers through the deployment of HDS storage replication technologies including implementation, deployment, customization, and training. Specifically, candidates for this position should have experience designing, deploying, educating, and integrating with local and distance storage replication software from HDS or other storage vendors.All level 3 skills and experience are required, plus: • Experience designing complex replication environments • Experience analyzing customer workloads and determine peaks, rolling averages, and interval workloads• Experience presenting complicated technical topics to business leaders• Self motivated - proven track record of working well with multiple concurrent work streams• 10+ years in information technology• 3+ years experience in a technical services organization at a vendor• 3+ years current experience with HDS technologies identified in Level II To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
