Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Business Application Support Consultant. This position will be based in the Raleigh/Durham, NC market. This position is a 6 month contract, not a full-time, permanent career opportunity. Job DescriptionThe chosen candidate will perform Business Application Support analyst duties for suite of applications. Overall responsibilities include: • Serve as initial point of contact for questions and problems on applications• Log all incidents received via phone and emails in Remedy/ITSM• Accurately categorize and prioritize issues• Ensure service levels for issue escalation and resolution are metFunctional Responsibilities:• Log all work performed and resolution details in Remedy/ITSM• Provide timely updates on the status of non-closed issues to the affected parties.• Communicate issue resolution details and root cause information to affected parties upon closure of issue making sure to use verbiage appropriate for the intended audience.• Add issue detail and resolution info to the organizational knowledge baseBEST INDUSTRY – Banking/FinanceBEST DEPARTMENT – IT Experience: Bachelors Degree is required.Minimum of 3 years IT experience is required.Experience working in a support environment is required.Previous support experience is required.SQL and database knowledge is requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical parties, and provide the business and management with concise updates regarding issues Visual Basic experience is required.ITIL, UNIX, XML, Control M and understanding of excel pivot tables and Excel report building is strongly desired.PayrateNegotiable Pay Rate To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
