Position DetailsThe SAP Basis Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining the overall technical and NetWeaver architecture for the Solutions SAP systems consistent with our client's policies. Responsible for providing leadership and management of all technical activities including but not limited to: System installation, System Change Management, Performance Monitoring, Performance Tuning, Transport Management, Data Management, Data Archiving, System Administration & Monitoring, User administration, Security, Development and Testing, Troubleshooting, Problem Analysis and Problem Resolution. Able to work in a fast-paced 24x7 environment.Manage and direct the work in the technical areas of the SAP COE, upgrades and existing and new projects/implementations. Ensure the SAP technical/NetWeaver architecture meets business platform requirements. Track SAP infrastructure and technical developments and report status to functional teams. Manage incoming technical requests from functional teams.Monitor and maintain SAP systems environments for optimum performance and be proactive in identifying potential problems (environments include Sandbox, Development, QA and Production). Perform core Basis functions (e.g., corrections, support packs, kernels, transports). Assist with reviewing custom code, analyzing the impact of the proposed technical solutions. Assist in creating and modifying strategies, resolve problems and document issues and resolutions.Must have good interpersonal skills. Must be able to establish strong working relationships with both technical and non-technical members of staff, be sensitive when introducing new technologies and methodologies to established groups and products, but have the conviction to push through technologies that are in the best interests of the company.RequirementsExperience in upgrades including SAP ECC, ITS, NetWeaver, SAP Portal, Business Warehouse, and related SAP modules.* Expertise in SAP, ECC, CE, BI, EBP, MI Installation Planning, Software Installation, Support Packs, and Upgrades on latest NW stack* Past experience and strong understanding with integration of components NW PI, BI, EP, CE, APO, WAS.* Proven experience with* SAP BASIS * SAP NETWEAVER* SAP Solution Manager (CHARMs, Monitoring, Diagnostics etc)* SAP ALE technology (RFC, IDOC, etc.)* SAP Business Suite* Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills on highly complex problems* Experience with EDI IDOC* Strong SAP tuning and troubleshooting skills * Experience researching SAP issues through OSS, applying OSS Notes, evaluating OSS Notes, and testing after OSS Note / Hot Pack applications.* Experience supporting end-user community, working with vendors to resolve HW and SW problems * Experience managing to SLAs and consistently achieving pre-defined metrics* Experience supporting multiple hardware server platforms and operating systems* Ability to apply ABAP and Java support packages * Experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery* Ability to clearly communicate technology issues, plans and solutions from both a business perspective and a technical perspective providing pros and cons for recommended solutions.BEST INDUSTRY – IT ServicesBEST DEPARTMENT – IT Experience: Bachelor degree in Computer Science / MIS from an accredited university * Minimum of 6 * 8 years of strong hands on technical experience with SAP, including SAP Basis Administration, in a large-sized environment with at least 3 years in a lead technical role* 2 Full Life Cycle implementations, preferably with Global Template/Rollout Methodology* Proven experience in SAP performance and availability monitoring * Advanced knowledge and experience in SAP security (including creating and managing SAP Security roles, profiles. SSO, and SNC configuration. etc)* Certifications in SAP Basis Administration and Oracle DBA* Experience designing and utilizing service-oriented architectures (SOA* 5 * 7 years Oracle Database administration experience* Very strong technical skills in Unix (HP-UX 11.3) and ORACLE Database.
