Proposal Development Manager in Dallas, TX

Job Description:

Responsible for working with business development managers and sales executives in the drafting and completing of solution proposals. Manage entire proposal process from solution development to proposal delivery.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

· Establish and maintain draft copies through completion.
· Coordinate the proposal schedule and project timelines throughout the proposal process.
· Analyze the RFP and make associated proposal process and content judgments
· Provide guidance to capture/sales lead and assigned LOB and proposal center staff
· Prepare and manage the proposal schedule and outline. Ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives. Act as point of contact to client' or third party advisor management
· Manage logistics; schedule all meetings
· Define style conventions based on proposal center standards and the RFP
· Ensure proposal compliance with RFP requirements.
· Contact and obtain from legal, insurance, and contracts departments required comments, and forms
· Assist capture/sales lead in drafting or preparing the standard content; occasionally write sections
· Direct input to graphic artists and manage document production with available templates, according to special requirements, colors and other client-specific elements, etc.
· Review and edit all sections for completeness, readability, and compliance
· May manage multiple proposals in the same time frame

Preferred Education andExperience:

Three to five years proposal management experience or equivalent, preferably with a background in a healthcare or technology applications environment. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred.

Strong communication skills
Personal computer and business solutions software skills in MS Word and Powerpoint. Excel and Project a plus.
Ability to manage large or multiple projects, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and to switch between tasks quickly
Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
Ability to work in a team environment
Willingness to travel and work extended hours
