Responsibilities:
. Extract and define user requirements
. Design new processes where required
. Modify existing processes
. Code applications and tools from inception to implementation
. Provide optimum efficiency enhancements to existing tools
. Perform comprehensive testing before implementation
. Be available on-call for break-fix situations
. Practice good stewardship regarding source code

. The ability to communicate effectively with the business
. The ability to articulate previous examples of skills expertise (i.e. REXX project details)
. Write detailed requirements, processes, & flow charts
. Think independently and take initiative off little or no requirements
. Iterative development life cycle (or agile)
. Programming fundamentals - modular design, documentation of code
. Database design fundamentals - normalization, data integrity, indexing
. Understand and leverage existing common code opportunities
Experience: Mainframe Skills
. MVS Working knowledge - 15 years
. Solid Understanding of ISPF Dialog Manager - 10 years
. REXX - 10 years
. JCL - 15 years
. VSAM - 10 years
. Exposure to DB2 - 5 years
. Understanding/use of MVS Utilities - IDCAMS, RACF, DFSDSS, SORT, ICETOOL, CA-7, etc. - 15 years.
. Problem solving skills - 15 years
. Technical Application Design skills to leverage software - 10 years
. File-Aid, PDSMAN Utilities - 10 years
. Working knowledge of NDM - 5 years
. Exposure to CICS - 5 years
