Desktop Support Technician-Field in Dallas, TX

Challenging role resolving hardware and software problems expeditiously with minimum disruption to computer users. Strong communication and organizational skills. Must have at least 2 to 5 years experience in Desktop Support. Hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Windows 2000/XP, Office 2000/2003, Windows 2000 Operating System, Outlook 2000. Experience with XP Migration and reimage projects a plus. Other duties includes: basic network connectivity troubleshooting and DNS configuration. Installing and configuring new equipment. Coordinating hardware repairs with vendors Assisting users with desktop software Respond quickly to priority incidents as needed. Updates problem-tracking records in a timely manner. Required skills: 2 to 5 years of PC / Desktop Support experience within a large environment Proficient with Microsoft Operating Systems 2000/XP, Active Directory, MS Office 2000, Ghost, and hardware support. Must have excellent customer service skills and be team oriented! . Ability to learn new environment quickly. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
