IT Senior Applications Specialist

The Senior Application Specialist will carry out the functions for designing, developing, and implementing web applications to support the JCP Direct Division of the Company.

Responsibilities:

Design, code, test, implement and document new applications that are parts of and other supporting applications

Monitor and maintain current system applications

Interface with business user community and application developers to understand project requirements and meet user needs/expectations

Provide technical leadership to team for supported systems

Perform performance tuning and scalability for new and existing applications

Communicate project status to management


Qualifications:

In-depth experience with .NET 2003 Technologies, Visual Basic 6.0, Java Script, ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML, XSLT, XML, SQL, MSMQ, SQL Server 2000, Windows NT/2003 Server

Have at least 10 years of experience in application development, MS SQL, and multi-threaded coding; 5 years of experience with .Net development

Knowledge and experience with object-oriented design and implementation

Ability to recognize and implement common design patterns

Ability to design and implement an appropriate architecture to support cross platform environments that provides scalability and failover.

Ability to quickly and accurately perform troubleshooting and repair of existing applications

Interest in enhancing skills and learning new technologies

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
