Responsibilities

In this new role, the Enterprise Application Architecture Director will define the overarching architectural frameworks to be used in our Application Development efforts, integrate the framework into JCP methodology and its governance, identify specific s tyles of computing and associated implementation patterns, and define a common deployment strategy. Functional responsibilities include definition of architectural frameworks, implementing and maintaining common services and reusable components, and selection of appropriate technical components and stacks for JCP styles of computing. Principal technologies include .net, Java, CICS, MQ, EAI components and J2EE.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this leader will build and direct a team of architects and systems engineers. This individual will serve as the champion and chief steward of the overall Enterprise Architecture for JCP and will be responsible for the teams who develop, implement and maintain the pool of common services to be used across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Proactive technology leader with fifteen years progressive systems engineering and applications experience including a minimum of ten years in application architecture. Additional requirements:

  • Proven track record of leading the definition and adoption of an enterprise application architecture
  • Significant capabilities and expert knowledge of business applications development processes and very structured engineering approaches for software testing and development.
  • Advanced abilities in abstract and analytical thinking, problem solving, project management, team building, influencing as well as business orientation, vendor management, and financial skills
  • Track record of building and leading teams of highly technical architects, systems engineers and senior systems engineers.
