The company's IT organization is being transformed to support the company's growth. Enterprise Data Architecture is one key to the significant technology transformation. We seek: Enterprise Data Architecture Director

Responsibilities

In this new role, the Enterprise Data Architecture Director will develop and deliver enterprise data initiatives and data strategies encompassing underlying data frameworks, an enterprise taxonomy for data, and rules of logical/physical modeling. Functional responsibilities include formulation and implementation of enterprise data frameworks, creation of centralized data modeling capabilities, formulation and implementation of enterprise data warehousing strategies, ETL tool support, and establishment of data naming standards and conventions. The technology environment includes large scale Teradata environment, large IBM UDB Data Warehouse, and a significant Oracle footprint, supporting over 200 business application systems that support all divisions.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this leader will build and direct a team of data architects, data modelers and data base analysts.

Qualifications

Proactive technology leader with fifteen years progressive IT experience including a minimum of ten years in large scale enterprise data environments. Additional qualifications:

  • Proven track record of developing and leading the execution of data architecture strategies in large scale Teradata and IBM data warehou se environments
  • Significant data modeling capabilities and expert knowledge of enterprise data architecture
  • Advanced abilities in analytical thinking, problem solving, project management, team building, influencing as well as business orientation, vendor management, and financial skills
  • Track record of building and leading large teams of architects and analysts
