Data Warehousing Subject Matter Expert in Dallas, TX

This consumer based company is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a background in Data Warehousing. As the Subject Matter Expert, your role will be to Define, analyze, and validate all systems related to Customer based activities. You will be responsible for the validation of data, both for legacy (data warehouse) and future systems. Candidate will learn to have a clear understanding of the systems and their related interfaces between business partners (i.e. marketing, sales, finance, supply chain, manufacturing distribution center) in order to provide input for daily processes and / or to project related functions and reporting.
Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and work well with the technical and business communities to understand and deliver projects that increase the value of the Clients assets. This person must be a self-starter in initiating project and process improvements and may take part in researching best practic es, new tools and technology, and implementing automated test processes across the warehouse.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and principals;
Ability to document complex technical data in a concise and clear manner;
Knowledge of various reporting tools: Hyperion Essbase, SAS, Business Objects, Cognos, MS Business Intelligence;
Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment.
EDUCATION:
-- BS or BA, desirable.

Experience: REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
5+ years as a business analyst, Subject Matter Expert, decision maker;
3+ years experience in working with Oracle, SQL Server based applications, systems, and third-party software;
3+ years full life cycle development with process and quality focus;
Experience building business applications in Oracle, SQL Server, MS Business Intelligece tools, etc;
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Must be capable of writing functional design specs and test plans. Must be articulate in expressing thoughts and ideas;
Partnering with Directors, design and implement solutions that meet or exceed the joint requirements of the customers and best business practices.
