The Interface Support Specialist has a primary responsibility for the troubleshooting of Quovadx/Cloverleaf healthcare data interfaces and the interaction of those interfaces with web based applications. Must be able to problem solve complex interface problems.
The position will work with the staff involved in the development and programming of HL7 and XML interfaces between Customers and the Desktop Solutions. The position has the responsibility to assist in the diagnoses and resolution of issues that arise within the Desktop Solution production environments. The position will address interface issues as identified by the Production Support Team and generally represent the company with all new installs. Experience: Quovadx certification, any level . Knowledge and understanding of the HL7 Standard, the variations that can differ between vendors, and what constitutes allowable and invalid local variations. Understanding of additional standard messaging structures (ASCII/ISO 8859-1) as well as communication protocols; . Knowledge and understanding of the types of data used in the healthcare industry. Key to understanding the HL7 protocol is the type of data that is the content of HL7 messages; . Knowledge and Experience with other data interchange formats. Primarily HL7 and XML, but other business-to-business formats will be considered; . Experience in interface programming utilizing eLink, preferred, or other interface engine is required; . Significant skills associated with interface development tools used in interface building; .
