eCommerce Software Developer in Dallas, TX

Our Solutions Services division has an immediate full-time opportunity for a software engineer with strong J2EE development experience. This position will work on eCommerce projects, so previous eCommerce experience (particularly with WebSphere Commerce Suite) is a plus, but not required. This customer-facing position will involve moving flexibly between different project tasks, including system architecture, design, development, and code fixes. These positions will require some travel to customer locations (on average, 15%- 25%) and will perform both on-site and off-site work. This an opportunity to work as a consultant on full-life cycle enterprise projects with a variety of customers, without having to do extensive travel. Experience: Solid J2EE development skills Experience implementing eCommerce solutions OR experience with WebSphere Application Server required DB2 database experience a strong plus Strong familiarity with WSAD (WebSphere Studio App Developer) and/or RAD (Rational App Developer) Java 1.2 or later certification preferred Experience using Eclipse IDE Recent experience using Struts and/or an MVC web framework Must have experience developing enterprise-level Java applications, from initial requirements gathering to roll-out of the new system Must have experience as a part of an application development team that included developers, testers, QA/QC personnel, and project management personnel Operating system knowledge in Windows, OS/400, AIX, and Linux desired Willing to participate in research and review activities to determine new or best methods of proceeding on projects Ability to extract detailed information from a client/customer in order to accurately analyze customer requirements Ability to maintain design documents and specifications which will be presented to the customer/client Ability to troubleshoot and identify potential problems and make appropriate changes as necessary Ability to work closely with clients and deal with them in a professional manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to speak with enthusiasm and confidence in order to retain customers and garner respect of staff Excellent interpersonal skills To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
