Data Warehouse Eng. to oversee Enterprise Data Ware House in Dallas, TX

Our client is seeking a Data Warehouse Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development, support, and maintenance of enterprise database application used throughout the organization. The Data Warehouse Engineer will be responsible for the ongoing support of new enterprise data warehouse, be continually developing and enhancing the data warehouse, implement new data marts and business intelligence solutions, automation of daily data extracts and external system feeds, development of reports, and general database administration. The Data Warehouse Engineer must be a team player, a flexible self-starter that takes direction well and "runs with it." Must have the confidence to work independently. The Data Warehouse Engineer position requires a highly motivated individual with solid experience implementing enterprise data warehouse, business intelligence, and report delivery solutions. The Data Warehouse Engineer must have strong communication skills, both orally and written; along with the ability to apply data warehouse architecture theories and concepts in order to create solutions for the business to access critical information. The Data Warehouse Engineer will be leading the development process through design, implementation, and enhancements. The Data Warehouse Engineer must have a strong "hands-on" knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services, with solid data modeling and database design experience.<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: The Data Warehouse Engineer must have the following: Bachelor&#146;s degree in a technical field preferred or 4+ yrs related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum of 3+ yrs. of hands-on data modeling experience in large transaction and data warehouse environments; in-depth knowledge of large database design techniques; experience in data analysis, data cleansing, and data transformation and migration using ETL tools; familiarity with star schemas, OLAP, multi-tier data warehouse architectures, metadata, and multi-dimensional cubes; strong verbal and written communication is required for requirements and design specification documentation; The Data Warehouse Engineer should have good working knowledge of system deployment life cycle and project/change methodologies and processes; expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 required; must be a proactive problem solver, with strong analytical skills; ability to stay organized as well as work independently and productively; good management and team building skills; have great task and problem solving analysis skills; excellent customer service skills and ability to work with all levels of employees; ability to prioritize work to meet the needs of the company; having web-based application development with ASP.NET and/or SharePoint is a big plus; experience in large-scale restaurant / retail data warehouse is a big plus; Microsoft database and solution development certifications are desirable.
