Job Description:
Play a senior consultant role in the development and operation of a SAP production support service. The position will be mostly hands-on technical. The ideal applicant will have expert-level technical skills, excellent communication skills, and high drive and motivation.
Responsibilities will include direct SAP Basis support for a large pharmaceutical company working on day to day support and projects..
Required:
5 + years SAP Basis experience, mostly hands-on
At least five medium to large SAP implementation project; implementation and production support experience
Senior level responsibility on at least one SAP project (Note: Level of responsibility, not team leadership is what’s important here. e.g. Senior team member, making key recommendations, having key responsibility for critical systems.)
Direct support of an implementation team as well as end-users, including on call support
Experience concentrated in SAP ECC 5.0 and higher
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Significant hands-on experience in most areas of SAP Basis such as:
? CTS administration
? CTS client / landscape strategy and planning
? Application of SAP OSS notes, kernel patches/upgrades, and Hot Packs
? SAP installation and upgrades
? SAP system sizing, hardware planning and design
? SAP system monitoring and operational support; including extensive troubleshooting and problem resolution
? SAP Batch schedule support
? Oracle database administration using SAPDBA and Oracle tools or equivalent work on another database platform with SAP
? Support of SAP on UNIX platforms (Sun and HP preferred)
? Performed SAP System copy (database copy) and SAP client copy
? Implementation and operation of a SAP backup and recovery strategy
? SAP performance troubleshooting and tuning
? Setting/tuning SAP parameters including memory management
? Installation and support of the SAPGUI
? Set up and support of SAP printers
Some travel required
Desired:
Significant exposure to more than one SAP project in more than one company
SAP Basis Certification
Previous consulting experience
Previous system administration experience (UNIX preferred)
Previous DBA experience (Oracle preferred)
