The Development Manager provides guidance, leadership and knowledge to the design, development, implementation, and support of net-centric applications utilizing a variety of development tools/techniques. The Development Manager will be responsible for overall efficiency of the development, 2nd and 3rd level production support and testing groups.
The Development Manager will have 3 or more developers reporting directly to him or her. They are also responsible for the guidance of one or more interns that may report to a developer or team leader on a project or task basis. The Development Manager reports to the Director of Software Development.
Development and support of all Enterprise applications including, but not limited to Great Plains Accounting, BIDS, HEAT, CSAT, ICSAT, Sales Portal, Commissions, Assistants. Measured on ability to set and meet schedule, budget and scope for assigned projects. Also reviewed on employee turnover rate. Internal applications have a direct impact on day-to-day operations of the company. Certain applications can directly affect the companys ability to collect or disburse revenue.
Qualifications
10 Years of industry experience
5 years of management experience
2 years of application architecture experience
Relational Database Theory, SDLC, OOP Theory, SQL Server 2000, SQL/T-SQL, Internet Information Server, Active Server Pages, ADO, COM/COM+, Visual Basic, DHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, VBScript, Crystal Reports
Preferred
MCP, MCSD, MCAD
Microsoft .NET Experience
Prior experience working in a software environment required
Bachelors degree from an accredited university
A minimum of 5 years experience in web development
5 years experience in full life cycle development
